Elderflowers

At least I'm pretty sure these are elderflowers! Took this on the field near our house - there are masses of these bushes round the edge, but most flowers are not out yet. I love elderflower cordial and wine - it has such a wonderful taste!

Very windy yet again - I had to crop my hand out of the shot as I had to hold the branch to stop it blowing around! It's sunny and quite warm today. I have rung the osteopath that my friend recommended - she said she was sitting by the sea at Chichester watching her son take part in a regatta and didn't have her diary with her, so will ring me back early evening time! I should think the yachts were sailing well in this wind!

Watched the last few games of the French Open tennis final - I thought it was inevitable that Serena would win, what a competitor she is! Her French is very good too (my husband said, being a linguist!) I could understand some of what she said using my school French! I actually spent longer as an adult trying to learn German than I did learning French as a child, but my French is far better (though basic), my German being very basic indeed. It's so hard to learn things as you get older I think...or perhaps it's just me!

I have typed and copied the news sheet as usual. Feel tired today for some reason, but I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow. Paul helped me cook a roast lunch (he prepared the veg) and he said he felt exhausted afterwards! He does have ME though, but some activity can help at the level he is at. Going to have a restful evening watching the Britain's Got Talent final - the shows have been amazing, really good acts on there. Some of the child singers are fantastic.
