Wind damage

When walking the dogs this morning, I came across a couple of weaver birds nests that had been blown down by the wind. What a pity that that hard work was in vain. I am amazed at the way these nests are built, so beautifully woven.  I do hope Mr Weaver has managed to build another one. The twig this nest was attached to was very thin - he'll have to anchor the next one more firmly. Of course, if the female doesn't approve the nest is pulled apart, so it's tough getting a nest built successfully. 
It's been a quiet Sunday - Church this morning followed by a delicious breakfast and cappuccino at a new restaurant. Ice creams after lunch from the ice cream stand (as usual!) and watching some sport on TV.
