Charming birds

I do love long tailed tits and I was delighted to see a few on the feeder this morning.  Hope there might be a brood to visit over the winter. The suet balls aren't so attractive but I've done my best to crop them out. 

Another lovely day here and a busy one ahead. My children and grandchildren are all visiting. The girls will be here for lunch then my grandson will arrive in the later afternoon having been at another party.  All I have to do is cut the cake which is being made by the girls' mum. 

When everyone goes home my grandson will stay for a sleepover. He will have had a lot of cake by then so fingers crossed for a good night!
