Murder in the Garden

Today it finally happened...Tess brought a bird home....a semi dead bird! Yep she's a cat it's the most natural thing in the world but not when I have to deal with the poor mite.....She dropped the bird at my feet and then rubbed around my legs purring very loudly and started rolling on the floor asking for her belly to be rubbed. I'm certain she would not have done this if Chris was at home....oh dear....I best go and deal with the bird.

Rhubarb has been a poor crop this year but Mum will make use of it. I'm off there soon for a roast lamb dinner and to pick up a chocolate cake for Chris to cure the inevitable hang over tomorrow!!

Looking forward to having hubby home tomorrow :)
