Back to backs

After a very enjoyable day taking mum out to Ynys Mon and the RSPB South Stacks reserve (where sadly there were no birds largely due to fishermen and mountaineers), we returned home and left her for a snooze while we went for a walk.

Eight km along the neighbouring town of Penmaenmawr and up over the top of it, gaining 1500m of climb! Thankfully there was a pub at the top...

On the climb we passed these old back to backs, known locally as the Captain's Houses, although I don't know why. I thought this HDR offered very strong lines and the mono brought them out nicely. But that might be the very enjoyable pints...

And for Silly Saturday, when we got home we caught mum using her stair lift as a home office! That expression... (please forgive her the Daily Heil)
