Still Bald..

Methinks this is the same female cardinal that was hanging out at my feeders earlier in the season...I was shocked at the time to see a bald bird but read that it is not all that uncommon, and I was assuming that she would get her dazzling hairdo back eventually - but hmmmm...is this her? Still bald? How sad..

It is fun to be back watching my feeders, checking out who is still here (extra)  and if there any newcomers. Well, today I noted one newcomer...a visitor just  passing through..a hummingbird trying to feed at the flowers... We usually don't have hummingbirds here in our neighbourhood for the summer, but we often see them as they pass through on their way south for the winter. Another harbinger of autumn...

Today was a big day for my friend and neighbour Diane and her husband Dale - their 60th wedding anniversary. Wow..60 years! That's quite an achievement these days, and warranted a visit by the lawn-sign fairy overnight! Please note that the wedding dress is Diane's actual wedding dress...and no, it doesn't still fit, but now it matches her hair! (extra)

Tim was spent today along de-cluttering lines..big bags of clothes and shoes are now ready to be taken to the Salvation army tomorrow...Hardly made a dent, but it is a start...
