Snaefell summit

We got the horse drawn tram along Douglas prom this morning…

Then we transferred to the electric tram as far as Laxey…( about half an hour )

At Laxey we got the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the top of Snaefell ( snow mountain ).

But we couldn’t see a thing! Thick mist and clag…so we’ll walk up to the top on Sunday when the sun should be shining!

In the ‘extra’ you can see the Great Laxey Wheel…the largest surviving working wheel of it’s kind in the world! She was built in 1854…absolutely incredible!!!

We then strolled down to the sea ( about 25mins walk )…a very nice prom with a couple of cafes…the weather had improved, and the sun was out!

The weather looks good for the weekend, too!
