Sunrise

I wanted to make the most of this glorious early summer weather, so got up at 2.45am (hardly worth going to bed!) to go for a dawn walk with my #2 son. Once up, it really is magical to be out and about right at the start of a new day.

It was already beginning to get light when we set off, and the dawn chorus was in full swing.

Seeing the pinky orange orb of the sun coming up over the horizon was completely worth getting up so early for, and F loved seeing it. A great moment.

The rest of the walk was also magical, seeing everything in a dewy, warm light.

Back home to the rest of the household beginning to wake up. Now I'm not sure how to get through the rest of the day!
