Second-time-around

Some sun!

I took this from the waiting room window at my dentist. I liked the sharpness of the bricks and chimney pots, lit by extremely rare sun, and the sky. I drove there in the first sunshine for DAYS - it’s been grey with rain and mizzle, and totally sunless.

I had hoped to take some better sunny pictures after the dentist, but the weather changed from only a little bit sunny to mostly cloudy with sudden heavy showers.

I thought I was going in for one root canal filling, but my dentist said there were three in a row to do! Despite 2 Xrays and an electronic measuring tool she couldn’t ‘see’ the third root area. The injection to numb the area had already given me palpitations, which I’ve never had before. ‘You went a bit white’ she said. The room also started moving. She said there was adrenalin in the injection. I didn’t like it!!! So although she tried and tried, she couldn’t locate the third root area. I was in ‘the chair’ for an hour and ten minutes, and I never want to go through that again. Of course I now have toothache. She’s a really nice and good dentist. She said it looked as though only a specialist with advanced tools and charging loadsamoney would be able to sort out the problem.

I had to replace my computer on Wednesday because the virus protection wouldn’t update. Apparently Windows 7 is now ‘unsupported’ - planned obsolescence. So to keep using it would have risked catching a virus. Now I have a suddenly acquired secondhand Windows 10 model. I had to disconnect and reconnect everything - connection points were in different places - and now, although it worked for a short while, the screen won’t come on! I don’t know if it died of shock when it had to work with the new computer, or I haven’t connected it correctly. I seem to have wasted all of Thursday on it!

I tried and tried to see the blue moon, but heavy clouds and mist and fog meant it just wasn’t visible.
