Who you gonna call?

First signs of a computer meltdown and I am off, faster than a speeding bullet, to the warm welcoming arms of the Geek Squad.

What a farce. 

To start with, my computer, which had been flickering incessantly and covering more than 50% of the screen with a grey/white bar, decided to behave impeccably... I felt like crying.

So home I went, tail between my legs, to see if it had miraculously fixed itself. It had, for two minutes. Then it started again... so I turned round, faced the wall, let out a long wail of anguish, and resolved never to be cowed again by a tekkie with a microfibre cloth.
