With mountains like these

A date with Mozart

A full on day needs Mozart to aid recovery.
Academia 1830 and Quiteria Muñoz at Bellver castle was wonderful. The sun set in the oval above as we listened to three arias and the Jupiter. The castle has fabulous acoustics! The sound stuck well and was rounded within the space (sorry not tech speak!) A magnificent moon hung over Palma as we left. T made me pose.

Back at the ranch I was so hungry, as was little A. We made some fusilli with bacon, thyme and cream. Our best ever, we think. Ben is back now with friends after a late shift. They will eat and talk long into the night. We’ve left them instructions (ok, they are chefs..!) and ingredients to replicate our dinner, but we’re delighted to see they could get pancetta from the coin op meat machine to substitute for bacon! I expect delicious aromas from the kitchen as I try to sleep… did Mozart ever write about food?
