A Sea of Red
This was taken in Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona in the Navajo Reservation. Over thousands of years, wind and water scoured a narrow crevice in the mesa to form a slot canyon in two sections and this is part of the upper section a quarter of a mile long and 130 feet deep.
It was another early start as it gets very hot by 10am and I'm still acclimatising from the cold British weather although I'm told there is some sun and warmth back home too.
Supper was at Big John's where everything is served up in cardboard boxes or polystyrene plates but the pulled beef was the best slow cooked in a huge oven sat by the side of the road. Live music from the dad I think who sang some Johnny Cash for us.
