An emergency visit up north to see mum , who is currently in hospital, and dad.

I worked this morning , we drove up to theirs, picked dad up and went to afternoon visiting. After visiting we had a quick drive along the river where we spotted this cruise ship. It was a lovely day but for some reason looks grey here, though it was blue sky and sun all day for what seems like the first time in ages. We then had a fruit sundae at Minchella’s, and for me a cup of Horlicks, and then go dad back home. By the time we had a coffee it was time for dad to set off for evening visiting so we headed back home. We are now driving back home (~ 100 miles and 2 hours).

Mum looked better than I expected, and dad was pleased we’d managed to get up to see them. I’m sure mum has already forgotten we’ve been but dad and we know so all’s well!
