I am tidying up a poem I wrote for poetry circle next Sunday and later I will be watching ‘In The Heat of The Night’ at 9. I have seen it a few times but it’s a good one.

(My second grandchild started school today in a small country school in Mayo - junior infants, senior infants and first class all in the same classroom). A magical day. New jumper and skirt, school bag , pencil case. Oh how I wanted to be there but had an appointment in Dublin.


I have engaged my senses fully today - good food, comfortable surroundings, poetry, art, music. Doing the things I enjoy.
