A super moon and a legendary rapper

Quite a special day. Various unexciting chores in the morning, Oxfam in the afternoon - where there was an absolute mountain of incoming book donations, which I didn’t quite get through. Some very interesting and good fiction, should sell easily.
Got home, and L was back home already from work.  I had a tentative bowl of pasta, and L played tunes by the person we were about to see. I’m lucky that there are 3 excellent music venues within walking distance of home. This one was at the Fleece. This was my birthday present from L.
The support act was playing as we arrived - called Spyce - London rappers. So good that  most of the audience were in, watching, not waiting for the main act. Pic in 2nd extra. Then it was time for Chali 2na (Charley tuna). It’s quite likely you haven’t heard of him - the colleagues in L’s Bristol office hadn’t. But if you like hip hop - which I do - he is immense. Not gangstery, not violent, not sexist, teetotal, a poet, painter, survivor.  Used to be in LA group Jurassic 5, he’s now 52 but still has the most powerful bass-baritone voice and is most charismatic.  Had the audience in his hand. 1st extra. I knew almost all the songs he performed through watching my son DJing online, especially through Covid when I watched 3 times a week routinely.
Afterwards, outside, gathering ourselves to go home, I was surprised how many people came up to L and gave him a hug or shook his hand. Afterwards I asked him who they all were, but he didn’t know - turns out they were ‘fans’. I think I have been underestimating him
On our way home, trying to get a pic of the supermoon, but it was hidden by cloud at this point. The main pic is of L’s old primary school, just round the corner from home, looking a bit gothic with the moonlit sky.
