In the big chair

I sent this picture to Dad this morning with the caption 'Just keeping it warm for you, Gangang".

Dad's been walking around again this morning. At 8am he let us know that if he can walk up and down a couple of steps they'll let him come home. By 11am we got the green light that he'd done it and he could!

I drove Mum and I there, parked up, grabbed a wheelchair and practically ran to the ward. He was so keen to leave that he was all packed up and waiting for us by the ward door! He was obviously still in a lot of pain as he surprisingly didn't resist the wheelchair (he'd hate the 'fuss' normally).

Dad wanted to go check on Lewis, so we pushed him to the West wing. Lewis had spent the early evening watching videos in his bed with Jordan. They'd been monitoring him overnight and keeping him dosed up but were now hopeful he could continue on the medication at home. A couple of hours later he was discharged too, so in that respect the weekend couldn't have gone any better!

It was great to get back to Charlie bear too. The time spent in hospital this weekend was the most I'd ever been away from him!
