Grasmere gate

As I checked my phone this morning once Bailey had eaten his breakfast, there was good news on the weather forecast for the next couple of days. And it has proven to be true today at least with blue skies as we headed into the Lakes. Lunch at Lakeland in Windermere, a wander around Holehird Gardens and then on to Grasmere. As we parked at the hotel, one sister was just behind us and the other arrived not long after.

We got into our rooms and then had a wander in a very busy Grasmere and down the road for a lake view, passing this gate and it’s partner on the opposite side on our way. Back to sit in the hotel gardens for a drink and a catch up. More catching up over dinner in the hotel restaurant tonight. Food was good and the location lovely. There’s plans for a walk tomorrow and maybe an early rise to find the forecast mists.
