Canada Goose - Gosling
I should have had the pick of some nice wildlife, canal and countryside shots this evening but that hasn't happened - I've nothing to select from. It hasn't happened because I spent the best part of an evening walk trying to shake off another person.
I do quite a lot of walking on my own and don't mind talking to other people along the way, especially about the wildlife and local landmarks. I always say hello and very often, on spotting the camera, local people will volunteer information - which is great! However, this particular person decided that I needed a chaperone and alarm bells soon began to ring. The alarm rang particularly loud when I used the GPS on my phone and he asked me why I was using it. He was looking after me - didn't I trust him? He tried to take charge of everything I did, which was more than a little irritating!
I had to leave the canal and walk up through the town - but he came with me! I got rid of him by diving in through the gates of an evening cricket match and told him that I was meeting people in the crowd.
I've got some cricket shots, but they are not very good either. :-)
