miotagan snàimh

Another lovely evening for swimming with the added bonus of being warm enough to hang swimming gloves and the rest of my gear outside for a while at least.

In looking up the Learn Gaelic dictionary to try and figure out what the Gaelic for "swimming gloves" was I noticed that there is a verb (miotagaich) which means to put on gloves. Further browsing revealed that there is also a verb (sgrog) which means to  cock a hat, put on a bonnet/hat firmly.  I can uses for both !

I hope tonight is quieter than last night - our TV viewing (and that of much of Pitlochry) was disturbed by two Typhoon jets circling the town. The noise was incredibly loud.
