Owl Butterfly larvae
It was my turn to feed the fish at the Butterfly House so of course I took my camera just in case there was a blip opportunity.
These caterpillars are from the huge Owl butterflies - there were loads of them. Whether we will get to see them complete their lifecycle largely depends on the weather I imagine. The complete lifecycle is around 130 days with 2 months spent as a caterpillar and around a month as a chrysalis, so we've another few weeks to go yet.
I counted 8 different species still flying, most of which I have already blipped. I might have to go back for the Mexican Bluewing next week.
