Mermaid pools

We're very fortunate to live close to Cape Forchu lighthouse and the adjacent Leif Ericson walking trail. Many rock formations on the trail, caused by volcanic eruptions, which resulted in creating lots of rock pools, or as our six year old granddaughter likes to call them, 'mermaid pools'  I think she might be right!
