Honey I shrunk....
All four grandparents took the girls to Castell Henllys reconstructed iron age village, a favourite venue for the previous generation too. After 21st century toasties in the cafe they enjoyed visiting the round houses where you can listen to iron age music and story-telling, sit round a fire and breathe in the smoky atmosphere, try your hand at grinding wheat in a quern and (outside) practise aiming slingshots at invading warriors. All that went down well but even better, the blackberries they consumed by the handful.
While there I recalled our last visit five years ago when we took the refugee family our sponsorship group were supporting.

I'm happy to report that they have successfully settled into the community and all four children are doing well.
