Sunset, Cadman's Lane

Seriously chuffed with the award of a staff pick for the star shot on Wednesday. Many thanks for all your kind words and comments (it makes having lost almost a full night's sleep worthwhile, although the drive home the next day was difficult - Red Bull to the rescue!).

I've recognised I am going through the motions a bit for my blips, reverting to shots in the garden, or the like. So, when I saw a half decent sky at 8:30 I decided to try and capture a sunset. This was actually post sunset, I'm back to shooting trees (now with leaves on) but I just liked the way the flowers and clouds all radiated from the centre.

I used a 2 stop ND Grad filter to control the bright sky. Played with the Basic adjustments in Lightroom and sharpened slightly.
