Welcome interlopers

I was trying to wait until these sunflowers had actually bloomed but the one on the left is just about to. I liked the light on them this morning.

These came from the sunflower seed that had been put out for the squirrels earlier this summer. Two fell in this flower pot and there is one in the pot outside of the picture. I love the way they have grown so well. And if you look closely you can see a maroon johnny jumpup that seeded itself in the pot too. Our giant rosemary is in the pot behind them.
I picked a couple ears of corn tonight. They will be the first we've had. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it tastes decent. I've also had to start picking the tomatoes early since something is getting in there and eating them :-(
