Life through my eyes

Marmalade hoverfly

A non-Beau blip! Andrew was here today, to replace the ceiling fan/light in the bedroom. Beau spotted me when Andrew arrived so we went in to see him. He was wary of Andrew and barked at him. He was the same when I looked after him in the afternoon. Very protective, and just like when the smart meter man was here was making sure I was safe. Bless him. I absolutely love that dog. I think it's him that's got me through the last 68 days. His love is unconditional (almost - the price is play with me or tickle my tummy - which he absolutely loves). Andrew also fixed the toilet flush which just needed a spacer so he had time to help me with the reorganisation of the bedroom cabinets which was a two person job that was unfinished. He had enough time to do the last two socket and one light switch replacement, disconnected and took the old broken down dishwasher out and finished one minute ahead of his necessary departure time. He's ordered a replacement for me using his account. I wasn't going to replace it but research is that it uses less energy and water than hand washing.

It was funny Beau being wary of Andrew as he is lovely, but also so sweet that he wanted to protect me. He would accept his favourite pigs in blankets treat from Andrew though! This evening I was 'invited' to play with a rediscovered cuddly toy. It's a bit like the foot in at a rugby scrum where he will let go and leave it for me to take. I think our favourite game, as it morphs into him following the toy around me and then coming through my legs to "get" it.
