Not looking good

Visited daughter one and four grandchildren today on their campsite. They have occupied a large corner of a field with two tents and two gazebo's, surrounded by a long windbreak. Fortunately they get on well with the campsite owner or their fees would be astronomical.
The Grandkids did not know we were coming, it was meant to be a pleasant surprise. We got a "Hi Grandma/Granddad" before they disappeared again into the woods or fields. This was not in any way a problem, its great to see them enjoying themselves, running wild whilst they can.
These are not their tents, they are part of the "Glamping " offering on the site. Neither are currently occupied but everything is slowing down after the bank holiday weekend, I think the site is closing for the year at the end of this week. Where has 2023 gone?
We stayed until mid afternoon when the rain arrived. It seemed to be staying so we left.
