Rip

It's become autumnal all of a sudden in Berlin. Last year the autumn was slow to arrive. It's been wet for most of the day. 

I spent the morning outside with some children. The rain fascinated them, the musical noises of the raindrops in buckets, the taste of raindrops on their tounges and being able to collect the water in buckets. Such a simple thing but really special to be able to observe. 

Walked to the tool/fixy shop and timed it just right to get caught in a huge downpour. Picked up a paint stripper and paint scraping tools. Most of the doorframes and skirting boards are covered in thick biscuit coloured glossy paint. I'm going to spend some time in the afternoons stripping paint. There is also a cat flap that needs to get taken off and patched up with something. 

Mini M started school which seems to have gone well. The other one has got an apprenticeship in something electrical/ machine repair. It starts on Friday which is great.
