Before we go any further, let me just say that this isn’t quite the photo I was hoping for.

We had a nice, leisurely breakfast with Janice, Chris, Pete, and Cathy, before they set off on a walk around Corbridge, and the Minx and I set off for home.

We had a two-thirty meeting to be home for but left ourselves enough time for a nice, easy drive home, crossing the hills through some beautiful countryside.

There was heather everywhere, making a major contribution to the general loveliness, and I’m sorry I didn’t really capture it!
