If you choose traditional oil paint, light tone and fine sawed timber for your house, be prepared for surface mold. That looks bad, but fortunately it can be washed out. I washed part of our house today with soap and brush - just like washing a car. A bit frustrating job to do. (In the old times they added leaded filler to traditional paints to prevent mold, but lead is forbidden nowadays). The house looks better now, but more washing is needed. Some kind of rack would be good for higher parts...
