… and Green, all in the familiar flower patch beside the parking lot this afternoon. It was a typical summer day, partly cloudy, with very little wind, and moderate humidity.

Today was the start of the US Open.We watched Coco Gauff play in round one; she won in two of three sets. There was also a moving ceremony honoring Billie Jean for her work towards achieving equality of prize money for women and men 50 years ago.
