Timeless

A timeless gift that sends a message is a single rose bud. I think this red rose would say, "I love you". Truly I love the Blip Community. 

This morning Ellie is at her weekly playdate with her preschool friend; it will be their last regular Monday morning together since they will be in school next week.

This morning as I drove Ellie to her playdate she was already planning when they could meet again. She suggested Christmas break they could both help me decorate my Christmas. I have never known a child who thinks like Ellie; she is always planning ahead in very practical ways. When her mom told her that she was going take Ellie back to North Carolina with her, Ellie said, "I think it would be better if we moved in together here in Oregon; you could get a job here."" 

I found out the reason that her mom was angry and Ellie was crying last week was because Ellie asked her mommy to explain why she wanted Ellie now and not before now. Also, she told her that she didn't feel comfortable going so far away with her. Her mom responded to that with anger and an unwillingness to even listen and give her some practical answers to her very reasonable questions.  :-(((
