Her New Digs
We went to Kim’s after dinner last night. I had a small cake so we could celebrate her and hubby’s birthdays since we will be in WV on the 31st. Then we picked up Chase and Sky’s stuff from Kristen’s. I still had that last load of laundry to do which meant we were up until almost midnight. We were out of bed today at 6:00, food packed and loaded, showers taken and out the door by 8:50. My plan to read your journals didn’t happen; could not keep my eyes open. Sorry. We took Sky to lunch and toured her dorm. Am not crazy about it being co-ed. guess that’s the modern way. We picked up cabbage and coconut at the grocery store, stopped for my refund for flower bulbs that were dead when I opened the packages and are now heading to the farm. We should get there in 1.5 hours. This will probably be our itinerary for the next several years. Kristen could have three students in Frostburg in the 2026-2027 academic year. Thank goodness they get free tuition since her hubby works for the UMD school system. We can feel the pain. Between the two of us, hubby and I had five college students and one in private school one year. Ouch! Parents somehow do what they have to do and survive through the Grace of God. Hope your day was as nice as ours. Thanks for the visit. Stay safe. “I don’t want my granddaughter to follow in my footsteps. I want her to take the path next to me and go further than I could have ever dreamt possible.” – Unknown
