Fire

A busy old day. We’ve changed the way we sort the chickens. Instead of using newspaper and sawdust and changing it every other week we put a base of wood shavings on then just put fresh on every couple of weeks.

Lots of good things about this, mainly for heat for them in the winter.

Makes it much easer until of course we end up with a 10inch deep pile of chicken poo and wood shavings. So I cleaned that out !

I then cleaned out the chickens food box, which has had some rodent interference! This meant we needed a fire, so I burnt a load of other old wood.

Grass cut, summerhouse windows mended and now gin and dinner.

Pops is away in Brighton and Alf has been at a car show all day.
