Hanging on by a thread

It's the season and this one has set up camp and is waiting patiently. I think she's a Cross Orbweaver which sounds a bit more glamorous than a simple garden spider. If disturbed she may wiggle around as vibrating and apparently when the web gets old she'll eat it - extra protein. And yes this is one of the species where the female may eat the male if he annoys her! 

More wafting, some gentle bracken beating and I've pureed some apples.
