A good start to the day . . . there was no further damage to the lawn overnight.

Took a fair amount of convincing myself that I needed to get out but once I did I made it to Waterhead and back. The Windermere Cruise staff were waiting for customers for the self drive hire boats while the boat going to Wray Castle and Brockhole was full and nearly ready to leave (extra).

I spent the afternoon cooking for the freezer.

The birds of recent days (blue tits, coal tit, robin and a great tit) were joined today by a blackbird, a chaffinch and a male and female greenfinch.
