Day 4: Mynydd Mawr to Hell's Mouth

This turned into something of a marathon at 14.4 miles by the time we reached the car park at the south east end of the unfortunately named lovely sandy beach of Hell's Mouth or Porth Neigwl - so named as ships seeking refuge often found themselves blown ashore and stranded. These days, hell is getting onto the beach at all as the coastal erosion has worn away the cliffs behind the beach. The photo came from near the start of the walk - Ynys Gwylan-fawr and Ynys Gwylan-bach. By sheer chance met some Aberystwyth folk at Porth Meudwy (west of Aberdaron) on their way to Ynys Enlli.
