Well this didn't go to plan!

Leaving the UK is not easy but not for the reason you think!
The day got off to a bad start when I left my camera at the hotel and had to take a cab back to retrieve it. 
We then made our way to Luton Airport and had some lunch and waited for our 1810 flight to Zurich with EasyJet. 
An hour or so before we were due to leave our flight was delayed, it happens, it then went out to an hour.  The hour turned into 90 minutes but we boarded, were pushed back and started to taxi. As we went along there was a lay-by to the side of the taxiway, see the Blip, and we turned into doing a full 360 to face back out. 
It seems we have missed our slot due to slow boarding, there were ditherers, and we are told we have to wait 50 minutes in the lay-by with the engines running. 
Bizarrely outrageous!
Then it got worse!
Having sat on the taxiway for 40 minutes with others taking off all around us we are told the flight has been cancelled because it’s raining and European rules change for aircraft when it rains. 
We were told very little and eventually when we got off the plane and walked 22 gates to meet EasyJet representatives who had no answers. They basically said you have to find your own hotel, its 11 pm by this stage, and submit a claim and rebook your flight so no help at all.
We have got into a hotel and booked another flight Sunday morning from Heathrow and not with EasyJet. 
easyJet have been added to my "Do not use list" of Ryanair, Jetstar, Luton Airport and the Heathrow Hoppa bus that failed to show us at 0540.
