So the story about Dad is he ended up waiting about 15hrs in the ambulance outside the hospital before space became available in A&E majors where he stayed for another 52+hours. It was an awful experience, with him deteriorating each day until he was finally moved onto the Acute Medical Unit in the hospital.

He now has a proper electric bed in a room with a window etc with dedicated staff who I hope have the time and resources to look after him, so fingers crossed and all that.

Mum is now very ill too but there is no way she’d survive such a similar experience so she has opted to stay at home, so I’ll be putting in a few more shifts there for a while yet.
