Swan watch
I've visited the swans twice today, on my way to and from work.
After seeing the eggs for the first time yesterday I was hopeful of some hatching today.
So I was a little disappointed this morning to see Mum on the nest. But in the peace of the early morning both swans had their heads under their wing getting some rest. The whole scene was so peaceful and it set me up for a good day.
My work day has been all about helping students to finish their courses. A student who has been struggling has passed all their remaining assessments for my part of the course after telling me on Monday it would be impossible (did I tell you I don't do impossible?????)
I've spent the afternoon being beauty therapied within an inch of my life!
I've told my colleagues that I am willing to have a treatment only if the student is being assessed.
We persuaded another struggling student to give me a manicure, which they did. During the treatment I asked what else they had to do and before they had time to back out they were down for waxing my lower legs and shaping my eyebrows.
So they passed 3 more assessments.
I finished off with a hot stone back massage to help another student. While the treatments are very nice it's all about success now.
So on my way home I called at the swans again.
It was quiet, the sun was out, and when I saw no swan on the nest I got excited that we may have some signets.
But Mum and Dad were both on the water, allowing the eggs to incubate in the sun, I grabbed this opportunity to photograph the eggs. I may never get another chance.
Have a great weekend. It's Gay Pride and The George Formby Convention in Blackpool this weekend. It has blipfest written all over it.....
