Life through my eyes

It wasn't me

Who dug a massive hole again (just left of the black and green pots) 'cos you filled the one from this morning in!

This morning I started off emptying cupboards so I could move Mr T's wardrobe back into his room. It had to come out for the hospital bed and riser recliner chair.

Then got a message from Neil, would I like a bike lesson? Yes please! A message from Jo, would I like to join them for their walk? Yes please! We took Beau over to what I call the 'dragonfly ponds'. He loves it as Jo is happier with him having a longer lead when I'm with him. He was so good today. No barking and just one growl when a dog off the lead came up behind him. There were two gorgeous dogs, a malamute and Labrador. They were off the leads but the dog walker called them and held onto them. Beau went up and touched noses with them both a few times and was so good. I brought some of his favourite treats so every time he's really good he gets a treat.

I then had some bike training. I was allowed to try some throttle today and take my feet off the ground! It's not easy as I don't/can't ride on the public highway and I'm worried about shooting off the end of the private road. It was so funny as Beau was at the window watching.

Then looked after him so Jo could go to the tip and collect her glasses. Then watched some of the Dutch Grand Prix but too much chatter so we ended up going next door and rearranging the furniture downstairs in Jo's, partly for her and partly for Beau. She likes the layout we have so the big dining table went into the empty kitchen corner, Beau's sofa into the sitting room so he has somewhere and there is more space. She wanted it similar to ours. Then she has 'borrowed' one of the foot stools that Beau loves, and the rugs which are much lighter and make her rooms feel bigger and nicer. She was very happy. I have told her not to worry about money, and that if I need things I can't carry on the motorbike then I'll ask her for help. To me that's a win win.

This morning I also had a homemade brownie from the new neighbour's at the end. They were having new flooring put down and all their furniture was outside so I offered them some waterproof sheeting and popped back the next day to ask if they needed any help getting it back in. They are a Spanish family but seem really nice.

Then after all that I needed to finish off the sorting out here and both mine and Mr T's beds were covered with the contents of wardrobes/cupboards. He was less sentimental than me, but I like knowing his room is getting sorted out for him. Right now it gives me comfort.
