Grasmere Sports and Show

So much to see at Grasmere Sports and Show!

Paragliders, Hound Trails, Cumberland &Westmorland Wrestling, Dog Show, Historic Cars, Track races, Long jump, Egg and Spoon, Tug of War, and of course The Guides Races ( fell races ).

The main photo shows the start of The Seniors Guides Race. They run incredibly steeply up and up and up to about 1000ft, then come down again at breakneck speed!

Billy Cartwright was the winner today!

In the top photo in the ‘extra’ collage you can see the local MP Tim Farron, who always takes part and gets a great round of applause!
