A dog trying to convey dissatisfaction
Cooking, cleaning, then
walking, zooming and grumping.
Lastly some baking.
We had a roast dinner today, partly in celebration of our wedding anniversary but mostly just because we like roast dinners when it feels a bit more autumnal (shocking that we're at the end of august already!) I took Ben and Leo for a walk whilst things were cooking and Ben got really cross, wanting to hold the lead by the road and generally causing trouble. We made it home in the end and had a lovely lunch, followed by a walk in the woods. Leo went bananas, running in and out of the trees, he definitely had energy to burn. We met a 5 month old Cavapoo puppy, who was very sweet but very shy and Leo was embarrassingly boisterous :-/ Turns out it's not just older dogs we have to stop him annoying! Lesson learnt!
At home I did some cleaning, washing and mopping much to Leo's concern. He sat guarding his smelly blanket, trying to show me he was unimpressed with all the disruption, noise and fresh smells! So that's your photo today, a disgruntled dog in a clean kitchen. I then made some biscotti which won him around a little, as he likes the smell and if I'm feeling soft I'll let him lick a bit of the dough (I'm always feeling soft) So there we are, we're a bit worn down with Ben's tricky day but pleased it's bank holiday tomorrow :-)
