Serendipity

I like the serendipitous connections that sometimes determine what we read or watch. Michael Parkinson died on 16 August. He was an institution, a constant in our lives for decades. It wasn’t surprising, then, that the networks were full of Parky interviews and ‘best of’ compilations. That was how we happened upon his interview with Ingrid Bergman. As far as I remember I have never actually watched Casablanca. A search of the shelves in the garage revealed that we own a copy. So there is tomorrow evening’s viewing.
