We returned home today, once again travelling through the Esk Valley that was devastated during Cyclone Gabrielle.  This wee church was built in the 1920's in the valley.  A few years ago it was earthquake strengthened which helped its survival during the flooding.  It had 2 metre of water through it but sustained very little damage.
