Drying Up
Looking south, downstream, while standing on "my" beach, here (in the extra) looking upstream. We have received less than half the usual amount of rain for this time of year (and we only average 9.5 inches of rain /YEAR). We are watching the Rio Grande drying up once again. Still, we've had rain two evenings in a row, and if the thunderheads are to be believed, we will have rain this evening, too.
Emily Dickinson said, "Hope is the thing with feathers..." I say, hope is the cloud with thunderheads....faffed for definition, there is more to a thunderhead than meets the naked eye. Ooooh, she said naked ;-)
