Stockingfield
Met up with friends in Glasgow and we walked up to the start of the Glasgow Branch of the Forth and Clyde Canal at Port Dundas and from there to Maryhill, stopping to admire the relatively new Stockingfield Bridge (pictured).
Lunch in the cafe at Maryhill Burgh Halls, another short stretch of the Canal and then we joined the Kelvin Walkway to continue our walk past the Botanic Gardens and onto Great Western Road where we stopped for coffee before going our separate ways. An excellent day out, and it stayed mainly dry. (Got caught in a downpour when I returned to Cumbernauld to pick up the car, all the same.)
