A Lighter Shade of Pale

.... Well that's a blast from the past.   A Uni girlfriend's favourite hit for a while, Procol Harum at their best.

More and more cyclamen are flowering now, this form of Cyclamen cilicium has much paler flowers than the one I showed recently, not quite white but certainly a very pale shade.

I'm still often feeling ridiculously tired.  Another long lie in today, mostly it's been a quiet one.  Mid afternoon I took the train up to Abergynolwyn where the annual show was in full swing.  There's plenty of parking in adjacent fields but after a morning monsoon I figured it might be safer to let the train take the strain.   A ride in an open coach brought back childhood memories.   Once there I met up with fellow singers as we were to be the last act on their 'big stage' .... a huge truck trailer suitably covered.  It was a big stage, the sound system excellent.  Our first time together truly in the spotlight.   It was a blast and apart from managing to sing Wellerman in an entirely different key to any we tried before (!) we sang the best we've ever done.   Oh and the sun shone right on cue :-)

After tea with Jamie I took Meg out hoping for a gentle walk but being a bank holiday weekend there are people - and dogs - everywhere so we ended up back at the ball field in the gloaming.   Early night ahead, Jamie's back at his atm, I'm soon to find out if he'll sleep there tonight for the first time since his side-effect problems.
