What a mess

The house martins are still feeding at least one baby.  This is underneath their nest!

We dodged the heavy showers to get a bit of stuff done in the garden - W cleared the grass and weeds around the trees, and I mowed the edges.

I retired "hurt" soon after lunch - the back is still not up for much heavy work - and spent the rest of the day quilting the last 4 blocks.  All done now - and I've rearranged them.  I shall leave them for a couple of days before tackling the next job, which is to fasten them into strips with sashing between them.
