Last Day

... of our summer break at Sherwood Forest Center Parcs. We had to vacate our lodge by 10.00am, but once all our bags were piled into Family B's car, we made a final visit to the "subtropical swimming paradise". Both children absolutely love playing in water, so they were a joy to watch (and join in with their splashiness). There are wonderful floating aids for little ones - I don't think this style for young babies existed when our children were little: a very clever design.

So, a wonderful time was had by all. Mr PP arrived to pick me up late afternoon, and transferred my bags to our car. Took him ages to enter the carpark as there was a tailback of weekend visitors arriving. Must be dire for people living nearby; every Monday and Friday they must have hold-ups and backlogs on the approaching roads.

Then we set off for our respective homes. But it wasn't the last we saw of Family B today; great minds think alike - we met by surprise at our favourite Grantham chippie (whose owners come from Madeira). And then off we went home to our visitor - one of Mr PP's best friends, visiting from Australia. So that was nice.

This and Thursday's are backblips as, unfortunately, I can't blip directly from my phone.
