Flaming hell!

The flameout thermocouple stopped working on one of the rings. I took it apart this morning to make sure I bought the correct part. Took it out. Whizzed down to local domestic appliance repair shop but they didn’t have in stock. Got home ordered one on eBay. Then I thought, hang on, didn’t I semi-consciously notice that the connector wasn’t pushed in as far as the other ones? So I reinstall it and it works. Bad assembly at factory! Cancelled eBay order.
On the plus side, we now have a very clean hob.
